Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Clerk

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Major Purpose of the Job:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload units and parts from transporting devices, by hand or using unit handling equipment.
  • Stacks and/or stores accordingly.
  • Will examine stock and shipping/receiving documents against packing list to verify quantity, weight, and condition of package.
  • May prepare boxes for shipment by using shipping item protector or other packing equipment.
  • Releases prepared shipments to trucks for final delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Maintain all inventory, parts and quantities organized by designated bin locations.
  • Maintain all clerical paperwork organized.
  • Consult all shipping and receiving issues to immediate supervisor.
  • Reports on any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Manage control procedures and inventory management.
  • Research and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures.
  • Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.
  • Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervisor.
  • Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
Essential Functions:
  • High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED).
  • One-year warehouse experience, cycle count, and inventory control.
  • Must be computer literate. (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, USPS, SAP, Word & Excel)
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Ability to perform various packing equipment and material handling equipment.
  • Required to drive a forklift and experience Raymond Lift operator a plus.
  • In bound and Out bound freight control knowledge.
Job Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Will stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Warehouse, Mechanical Hazards, moving objects.
  • Ability to work in an open-air facility and fast paced environment.
